Euro VR 2020 Conference
25-27 Nov2020
Our partners from I-SENSE Group of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the SafePASS project coordinator, participated in the 17th annual EuroVR Conference that took place on 25-27th November 2020. The conference was originally supposed to be held in Valencia, Spain but it was held virtually after all, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. EuroVR is a renowned international conference that brings together people from research, industry, and commerce. Its members include technology developers, suppliers, and all those interested in Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), including Augmented Virtuality (AV) and Augmented Reality (AR), and more globally 3D user interfaces, to exchange knowledge and share experiences, new results and applications, enjoy live demonstrations of current and emerging technologies, and form collaborations for future work. This year’s conference was a huge success with 257 participants from 33 countries. Our partners from NTUA participated and presented the paper entitled “Exploiting Augmented Reality for improved training and safety scenarios for large passenger ships” during the Application session 1. The paper is available in the conference’s proceedings and SafePASS website.
